Some software, such as HyperV, will remain running in the background, even if it is closed and does not appear in the task manager. If the system check indicates a program is running, but you believe it is not, ensure it is not a background process or a service running. Reboot your computer and relaunch the PSI Secure Browser.
WINDOWS
- Manually close Prohibited applications. Turn off Background Apps.
- Go to Task Manager select the prohibited program and click "End Task".
- You may also check the running programs through the up arrow icon (^) located on the Windows taskbar.
- Once you click the icon, you will see icons of the programs that are running as a background process e.g. Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Docker, Skype, Lightshot
- Right-click on the icon, then click Exit or Quit to close the desired program.
- Once you click the icon, you will see icons of the programs that are running as a background process e.g. Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Docker, Skype, Lightshot
macOS
- Click the Apple logo from the top left corner of the screen. From the drop-down, select "Force Quit".
- Select the prohibited application and click Force Quit.
